Selling on Sidewalk, PKL in Tanah Abang Controlled

Satpol PP once again did controlling street vendor (PKL) in Tanah Abang area, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (8/23).

We control four carts and one sack containing clothes as well as one cart containing three sacks

Based on Beritajakarta.com observations, tens of Satpol PP personnel did sweeping from Jl Jati Baru, precisely in front of Tanah Abang Station until Block G. They managed to control PKL on the sidewalk and roadside. And then continued with Jl KH Mas Mansyur.

"We control four carts and one sack containing clothes as well as one cart containing three sacks," said Aries Cahyadi, Head of Tanah Abang Sub-district Satpol PP, Tuesday (8/23).

He added, it is done routinely. In a day, his side could conduct sweeping three times. But when the personnel are scatterbrained, PKL will return to open stall.

"But we remain do sweeping and controlling. In afternoon, we do it again," he expressed.

He added, for sweeping team, there are 30 personnel of Satpol PP. Further, the merchandise that have been controlled will be brought to Tanah Abang Sub-district office. 

"Afterwards, we then bring merchandise to Satpol's warehouse in Cakung, East Jakarta," he finished.
