Flat Relocation Offered to Rawajati Residents

Jakarta Provincial Government has given a policy for residents affected green belt refunction in Rawajati, Pancoran, South Jakarta to be relocated to Marunda Flat, North Jakarta. Various facilities are also provided in the flat.

"I want to ask, most of you live in Jakarta and go to the office in the morning. We won't relocate you to Belitung, but still in Jakarta, we give you facilities such as free bus service, children education until KJP," said Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama, at City Hall, Wednesday (8/31).

Nevertheless, there are still many Rawajati residents request for location to Cipinang Besar Selatan Flat, Jatinegara, East Jakarta. This is because this flat is nearby their old dwelling.

Rawajati Residents Relocated to Marunda Flat

"If you do not have a house, we'll give a decent life, your children will get free education, college, nutrition, health and health environment," he expressed.

As known, from data, residents affected by green belt refunction on the railway is about 60 households. Actually, the controlling plan was last year, but there was no available place to accommodate residents.

On August 25-30, house emptying will be announced. At that time, relocation will be done. If the house is not emptied, the building will be torn down on September 1, 2016.
