6 Underage and Unworthy Qurban Animals Found

Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept found underage and unworthy qurban animals who sold by trader in Central Jakarta. In fact, there is also found a goat who is sick.

At this time, there have been 336 animals examined, with details 164 cows and 172 goats. We found one is sick and five other animals are not old enough

The examination itself has been conducted since Wednesday (8/31) until today. It is focused on Jalan Pam Baru Raya and Jalan KH Mas Mansyur and Kemayoran on Jalan Selaparan, Gg. Laler and Jalan Lumba-lumba, Tanah Abang Sub-district.

"At this time, there have been 336 animals examined, with details 164 cows and 172 goats. We found one is sick and five other animals are not old enough," said Bayu Sarihastuti, Head of Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept, Friday (9/2).

After being examined, the officer then put a sticker and a banner at the animal shelter reads animal inside the building has been examined.

"If the animal is sick or underage, we will mark the body's animal with the paint reads X, thus people know that," he told.

He added, such examination will be done ahead of Eid ul Adha, which falls on September 12, 2016. There are 25 examiners of urban village and sub-district sent to the field.
