City to Promote Tourism via CPTA

Jakarta Dept. of Tourism and Culture uses moment as host of Council for Promotion of Tourism in Asia (CPTA) 2016 to promote its tourism.

“Market potency in Asia is big. We must use this moment well. This promotion should give us cheaper cost,” said Catur Liswanto, head of agency, Monday (9/5).

During the CPTA event, countries delegations will discuss about promotion between the CPTA members. One of the promotions is the using of One Asia Pass to produce, distribute, post brochure and posters of CPTA country members tourism site.

“Cooperation with cities in Asia is important. Japan has promoted tourism sites in Jakarta. It is translated into their language, printed and distributed,” he added.

CPTA will start on September 3-4 in Fountain Asia, Grand Indonesia Shopping Town. Next are Representative Meeting on September 5, and Tourism Seminar on September 6 at Hotel Indonesia Kempinski.

The event will be attended by delegations from Tokyo, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Hanoi, Metro Manila, and Tomsk.
