114 Blood Samples of Qurban Animals Are Negative From Anthrax

114 blood samples of qurban animal are taken from five cities randomly to be examined in the laboratory. It is done to detect anthrax disease in qurban animal.

We take sample from 14 locations and the result is negative

According to Darjamuni, Head of City Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept disclosed, from laboratory result, anthrax disease does not detected in qurban animal. "We take sample from 14 locations and the result is negative," he stated, at City Hall, Monday (9/5).

Aside that, his dept also examines 11,000 cows and 15,000 goats' health. Examination includes physical, age and condition of animal.

He added, a few animals are still underage and disability. These animals then asked not to sell them.

"We found underaged and disabled animals here. They cannot be sacrified. If they are sick, we will recover them," he told.

For animal shelters that passed examination will be given a sticker. People are appealed to buy qurban animal in shelters that already have sticker. "Because they have healthy animal for the upcoming Eid ul Adha," he appealed.
