For Adipura, East Jakarta Satpol PP Picking Up Trashes around Pondok Kopi Railway

To beautify its jurisdiction to achieve the 2014 Adipura environmental award, East Jakarta Administration on Tuesday (5/13) deployed 12 Satpol PP personnel to pick up trashes around Pondok Kopi railway.
A total of 15 trash sacks successfully picked up by the officers
“A total of 15 trash sacks successfully picked up by the officers,” stated Head of East Jakarta Satpol PP City Facilities Section, Agus Sidik.
Most of the trashes were plastics which picked up from around RT 01/01 Pondok Kopi. This cleaning activity was deliberately done because the residents often burned plastic trashes at noon.
Approaching Adipura, East Jakarta Still Disorganized“Trash incineration at noon is very disturbing residents’ comfort,” said Sidik.
The cleaning activity done in railway area is actually PT KAI’s responsibility. But since the area is one of Adipura’s assessment objects, local Satpol PP had to do the cleaning.
