East Jakarta administration should work harder in welcoming 2014 Adipura competition. A number of objects evaluated for Adipura competition still look dirty and disorganized in that region.
There are many things that need to be improved, such as scratch on walls in some areas. Then the garbage that swept away by flood in some points
East Jakarta Mayor, HR Krisdiyanto, said that his party is still improving the resident’s settlements, terminals, markets, schools, parks, stations, and so on to achieve Adipura 2014.
Moreover, in the last 2013 Adipura, there are some red marked points that should be improved. Every sub-district, allegedly there are two until three points have red marked. So that, some improvements are accelerated in order to omit that red marks.

So does the garbage along the railway, on Jalan I Gusti Ngurah Rai that needs to be cleaned. The residents seem that they have not hygiene awareness in each region. As proven, the residents are still littering casually even though there are already written warnings on littering garbage.
Assistant Development of East Jakarta, Andriansyah added that in 2014 Adipura, there are 120 evaluation points that still same in 2012 and 2013 evaluation. One thing differentiates, 50 percent evaluation points should be different in each year. With that, there are 50 percent evaluation points that need to be dropped, especially for locations with high score. While the red marked location will be participated again in the next Adipura competition.
“From year to year, 50 percent evaluation points should be changed. So that all parts of the region will be clean completely, not only focus on some points. The dropped points in the last year got great score,” said Andriansyah.
As planned, Ministry of Environment, BPLHD, Citizens Forum Concerning Environment (Formapel), Insan Educational institution, and LSM concerned with environmental issues will make an assessment on the following Saturday (4/26) or Sunday (4/27).
