Bukti Duri Citizens Only Have Proof of Building Purchase

The city administration has checked land ownership letter from Bukit Duri citizens, South Jakarta. As a matter of fact, they only have proof of building purchase.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama disclosed, similar condition is also spotted in Kampung Pulo when his party would relocate the citizens.

"Indeed I see the letter, but I ask them what kind of letter you have? In fact, there is only building purchase letter on the government land," he stated, at City Hall, Friday (9/9).

Bukit Duri Residents Appealed to Move to the Flat Immediately

According to a map in Dutch era, Ciliwung River has 60 meters wide. But now, it only leaves 10 meters. That means part of riverbank was acquired by local citizens.

"See? the river previously had 60 meters wide, but now only leaving 5-10 meters. That means you (citizens) did reclamation without permission," he expressed.

He added that river normalization is done to restore the river wide, which aims to minimize flood at some points. The city administration has also provided the flat as relocation place.

Related with Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that is protesting the relocation plan, Basuki did not bother about it. He said, if they did protest, should be able to provide other solutions.

"It's okay protest, but give solution also to us," he asserted.
