Channel Plastering Project on Jl Ancol Barat II Is Stagnant
Reported by Aldi Geri Lumban Tobing | Translated by Nugroho Adibrata
The water channel plastering on east side of Jl Ancol Barat II, Ancol Urban Village, Pademangan, North Jakarta is constrained by the supply of raw materials from the winning bidder. Predictably, the process would be delayed.
You know, material shipment is very slow. Maybe we will stop it while awaiting the materials shipped
Section Head of Pademangan Sub-district's Water Management Dept, Frans Agustinus Siahaan disclosed that he was constrained by supply of raw materials from the winning bidder. 420 meters from the target, there is only about 150-meter plastered.
"It's still running, but we will stop it next week because it began thinning. We've been coordinating with the winning bidder. They think overwhelmed to supply where they should send the materials into five regions," he stated, Thursday (9/15).
Cipinang River Plastering Disturbed by SettlementFrans added, project location is a follow-up of citizen complaints to Jakarta Governor about sedimentation in the channel. Previously, the channel was only installed by bamboos, but not able to withstand the soil pressure at the edges when it comes to rain.
"Demand continues to come, we supposedly already receive sand, cement and river stone. In fact, we just receive sand," he admitted.
If the raw material is ready, his side could continue the project, including in the channel on the west side of Jl Ancol Barat which has not finished since 2015.
"It cannot be predicted when we recontinue. You know, material shipment is very slow. Maybe we will stop it while awaiting the materials shipped," he finished.
