Pilot Sidewalk at Jl Jatibaru Occupied by PKL

The newly constructed sidewalk at Jalan Jatibaru, Gambir is occupied by street vendors (PKL).

Low supervision has made the sidewalk is occupied by street vendors

Zaelani (45), local resident, said the street vendors often disposed the waste at the area, especially on the channel. This causes the area looks slum.

“Low supervision has made the sidewalk is occupied by street vendors,” he said, Thursday (9/22).

PKL Stalls at Jalan Lodan Raya Controlled

Izul (43), one of pedestrians, admitted the disabled people direction is also blocked by the street vendors. This made disabled people can not use the sidewalk fully.

“I hope related unit will solve this matter,” he stated.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Head Section of Operational of Satpol PP, Santosa, stated will control the street vendors soon.

“We have warned them. If they ignore our warning, we’ll seize their properties,” he admitted.
