Ads Ban on JPO Prepared

Jakarta Provincial Government is about to make a gubernatorial regulation about ads ban on the people pedestrian bridge (JPO). It is following the collapsed JPO in Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta on Saturday (9/24).

The bridge project was previously cooperating with private party, and then fitted with ads. In future, no more ads on the bridge, it's still being prepared

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama disclosed his party is preparing the ads ban. Bridge construction in the city must be like in HI Roundabout.

"The bridge project was previously cooperating with private party, and then fitted with ads. In future, no more ads on the bridge, it's still being prepared," he disclosed, at City Hall, Monday (9/26).

Rescue Team Sent to Evacuate the Pasar Minggu JPO

According to him, some bridges fitted with ads still stuck on the contract, but it will end gradually. Because it is dangerous, considering most of bridges' age are old.

"All bridges would be the same with HI Roundabout. No longer wall but open. From safety side, it will be safe from robbery and harassment," he stressed.

Basuki had rejected several times requests for JPO repair from private. Because they also propose for ads.

"Surely I reject it. I use contributions from developers only. But this takes time," he disclosed.
