Buildings Stood Atop Riverbank will Be Demolished

Jakarta Provincial Government will keep controlling buildings stood atop the riverbank which aims to minimize flood potential through normalization.

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama disclosed, if the flat is ready to be occupied, relocation will be carried out. Some other points that will be controlled such as around Krukut, Muara Angke, Muara Baru, Cakung, Cilincing as well as Tanjung Priok riverbanks.

"We continue to do controlling. The next is Krukut River," he stated, at City Hall, Thursday (9/29).

While for regions in North Jakarta, affected the controlling because there will a sea dike project. To realize it, some buildings will be controlled.

"We'll also do this in Muara Angke, Muara Baru, including Cakung-Cilincing, Tanjung Priok. We want to build the dike," he expressed.
