City Economic Growth Targeted to Reach 6.4 Percent

The city administration has added target of economic growth this year. Initially, it is estimated at 5.4 to 5.8 percent. However, in 2016 APBD-P, the target increased to 6 to 6.4 percent.

In APBD-P, there are adjustments from previous assumptions. Especially for the economic growth forecast to 6 to 6.4 percent

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama disclosed, in APBD-P, there is a change of plan economic growth assumptions. It was due to see the economic development that exists today.

"In APBD-P, there are adjustments from previous assumptions. Especially for the economic growth forecast to 6 to 6.4 percent," he disclosed, at City Hall, Wednesday (10/5).

Food Distribution Affects City's Inflation Rate

He added, the economic growth assumption is higher than national target, which is 5-5.4 percent.

"This target is higher than national target," he told.

Basuki believes, until the end of this year, the city inflation can be controlled. In APBD, it is projected to reach 4.5 to 4.9 percent.

"We believe it could only approximately 4.1 by the end of this year," he stressed.

It is hoped, the inflation value remains support to achieve the inflation national target, which is in the range of approximately 4.0 percent.
