E. Jakarta Targets 172 Thousands Citizens Participating Early Cancer Detection

East Jakarta Administration targets to participate its 172 thousands citizen in early cervical and breast cancer detection program by next year. The checking is purposed for girls as the anticipation.

“We’ll appeal citizens to get medical treatment at Puskesmas and RSUD. Especially for early cancer detection for girls and women,” said Bambang Musyawardana, East Jakarta Mayor, Tuesday (10/11).

One of the problems, he added, some parents are hesitate to check their girls. For the sake of their daughters, early detection must be given. This checking is free for BPJS Kesehatan card holders.

HPV Immunization Stock in East Jakarta Is Safe

East Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of Health, Iwan Kurniawan, promised his side will socialize the importance of early cancer detection to the citizens. The effort is aimed to reduce the cancer patient number.

“Of 127 thousands of our target, 20 percent of them have conducted the checking,” he stated.
