Jakarta Governor Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo inaugurates Pos Pengumben Traditional Market on Jalan Sukabumi Selatan, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, Tuesday (5/20).

“By reciting Bismillah (in the name of God), I declared this Pos Pengumben Market, West Jakarta, officially inaugurated,” he stated.
After the inauguration, Jokowi signed an inscription and cut a ribbon symbolizing the Pos Pengumben Market inauguration.
PD Pasar Jaya to Process Cooperation with NTTPos Pengumben Market is as wide as 2,809 square meters. It can accommodate 288 business premises which consist of 172 kiosks and 116 stalls, and equipped with public facilities such as mosque, toilets, and parking lot that can accommodate 40 cars and 200 motorcycles.

There are 260 merchants selling various goods, such as vegetables, hand phones, and many more ,” told Jokowi.Besides Pos Pengumben Market, other traditional markets under PD Pasar Jaya management which will be inaugurated by Jokowi are Gembrong Market (East Jakarta), Cikini Gold Center Market and Gondangdia Market (Central Jakarta), and Kelapa Gading Market (North Jakarta).
As known, the arrangement of traditional markets by Jakarta Provincial Government keeps being carried out by PD Pasar Jaya that revitalizes old markets using priority scale.
