Jakarta government involves 14 agencies to overcome disaster in the capital. It is conducted to handle pre, during and after disaster. Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama assessed, the role of all elements is very important to handle any disaster in the city.

"We positively welcome this cooperation, because this is very important," said Basuki, at City Hall, Friday (10/21).

Those 14 agencies are Jakarta-Indonesian Red Cross (PMI), Plan International Indonesia, Foundation of Sayangi Tunas Cilik Partner of save The Children Indonesia, Jakarta Rescue, as well as Foundation of Tanggul Bencana in Indonesia.

There are also Foundation of Kausa Resiliensi Indonesia, Foundation of Aksi Cepat Tanggap, Foundation of Forum Pengurangan Resiko Bencana Jakarta, Indonesian Offroad Federation, Organisasi Amatir Radio Indonesia Jakarta, Whitesky Aviation, PT Airbus Helicopter Indonesia, and PT Pratama Beverages Solution.

In future, his party wants disaster can be done using technology. Thus the condition of disaster areas can be known in real time. Additionally, aid that given to disaster victim is also hoped using card system.

"If there is disaster, we will talk about data, last condition report in the field. It must use technology," he expressed.

Denny Wahyu, Head of Implementer Unit for Jakarta BPBD disclosed, the 14 agencies are willing to support such program.

"As the initial stage, there will be 200 schools that socialize on disaster response. It's targeted in 2021, the whole school in Jakarta is already an emergency response, we do it gradually because there are about 5,000 schools," he finished.
