Transjakarta Passenger at Corridor IV Increased Significantly

The increase in the number of Transjakarta bus passengers plying corridor IV (Pulogadung-Dukuh Atas) is pretty significant. It happens after PT Transjakarta launched a 35-minute Service program.

Since the bus can trip only 35 minutes, the passenger at corridor IV in the morning has reached 40,000 people. It is only at 5-10 AM

Manager of Public Relations for PT Transjakarta, Prasetyo Budi disclosed, the 35-minute service has brought positive impact. That is the growing number of passengers up to 40,000 passengers, from 5-10 AM. Whereas, the previous number is lower due to traffic jam.

Transjakarta Launches Service for Disabled People

"Since the bus can trip only 35 minutes, the passenger at corridor IV in the morning has reached 40,000 people. It is only at 5-10 AM," he disclosed, Monday (10/24).

At corridor IV, there are two routes that served with different number of the bus. Each of them serves Pulogadung-Senayan Roundabout with 20 units and Pulogadung-Grogol with 18 units.

Every morning, precisely at 5-6 AM, the articulated bus that should serve corridor I (Blok M-Kota) and corridor IX (Pinang Ranti-Grogol) will pick up passenger first from corridor IV. After that, the bus will back to serve at corridor I.

As for the information, the bus trip time is only 35 minutes because Jakarta Transportation Dept applies traffic engineering system such as contra flow from intersection of Matraman Traffic Light until junction of Jl Tambak Traffic Light, along one kilometer from 5-9 AM. It is done to smoothen the bus trip from traffic jam.
