All Strategic Roads Must Be Completed with TPE Next Year

Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidayat revealed that Jakarta Transportation Dept should intensify the operational of Electronic Parking Terminal (TPE) machine on the strategic roads in the upcoming 2017. By so, illegal levies can be resolved.

"All strategic roads must be equipped with TPE next year. Not merely get local revenues from parking, but eradicate illegal levies," said Djarot, after he inaugurated 13 units of TPE machines at Jl H Juanda, Central Jakarta.

Responding on this matter, Head of Jakarta Transportation Dept, Andri Yansyah admitted would operate 201 machines. Its operation will finish by the end of this year.

TPE Installation on Three Roads to Finish in October

"These machines can already operate in December. It's still under tender stage," he expressed.

If it could operate by the end of this year, the machines that spread in five cities will reach 302 machines.

"Last year, we operated 111 machines along Jl Sabang, Jl Kelapa Gading, and Jl Faletehan," he closed.
