Jakarta Governor, Basuki "Ahok" Tjahaja Purnama disclosed that target of parking tax revenue could be higher. Because now in some location, there have been Electronical Parking Terminal (TPE).

"The target is too low. It could be higher than that," said Basuki, at City Hall, Thursday (12/10).

He told that the impact of TPE installation in some locations makes the revenue increased sharply. He exemplified, like on Jalan Sabang, before TPE installed, the parking revenue was only Rp 500,000 a day. After it was installed, the revenue increased to be more than Rp 12 million.

He assessed, parking revenue in the ca pital could reach Rp 1 trillion. But if TPE installation is multiplied.

"That's why, we're auctioning it next year. We want TPE to be installed on all roads," he uttered.

As known, parking tax revenue until December 8 has reached Rp 430,1 billion of the target Rp 425 billion. This tax sector is the only one beyond the target.
