City-KPPIP Intensify Coordination About National Strategic Project

Jakarta Provincial Government along with Priority Infrastructure Development Acceleration Committee (KPPIP) conduct coordination related with a national strategic project. There are some programs of development that discussed together.

One of our programs is waste water treatment plants. The pipe that will be flowed has touched a land belongs to Jakpro (Jakarta Propertindo)

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama disclosed that one of programs that discussed is integrated waste water treatment plants (IPALT) or Jakarta Sewerage System (JSS).

"One of our programs is waste water treatment plants. The pipe that will be flowed has touched a land belongs to Jakpro (Jakarta Propertindo). The solution is we must borrow the land, because it can't be bought," he stated, at City Hall, Tuesday (10/25).

Jakarta Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) Head, Tuty Kusumawati added, besides JSS, several projects also discussed, namely Mass Rapid Transit (MRT), Light Rail Transit (LRT), and National Capital Integrated Coastal Development (NCICD) A.

"From KPPIP, it is monitoring and coordination with Jakarta government, to find out progress from national program," she expressed.

Her side also requested support from the central government to accelerate some legal protection that are needed. Like as LRT, which is still awaiting revision of Government Regulation No. 79/2015.

"We request for support at KPPIP where LRT requires revision of Government Regulation No. 79/2015. We need the support and facilitation for the acceleration," she uttered.

KPPIP Implementation Team Chairman, Wahyu Utomo expressed, there are some constraints faced at each development project. Therefore, coordination is done thus it could run in accordance with schedule.

"Indeed, there are some city's projects that listed in national program, we do coordination to smoothen it," she finished.
