Home Minister, Tjahjo Kumolo appointed Gen. Dir. Regional Autonomy, Sumarsono, as Jakarta Acting Governor replacing Basuki T. Purnama during local election leave.

Sumarsono will replace Jakarta Governor Basuki T. Purnama as Acting Governor from October 28, 2016 to February 11, 2017

“Sumarsono will replace Jakarta Governor Basuki T. Purnama as Acting Governor from October 28, 2016 to February 11, 2017,” said Sorsilo, Gen. Dir. Regional Autonomy Secretary, Wednesday (10/26).

Jakarta acting governor will get facility and financial based on the regulation. The authority is running the governmental and deciding policy together with Jakarta City Council.

The acting governor also has authority to sign the 2017 City Budget Arrangement and Bylaw Arrangement of regional apparatus organization after getting written agreement from the Home Ministry.

He is also able to replace officials after getting agreement from the Home Ministry
