LMK Programs to Be Delayed

A number of Urban Village Society Institution (LMK) programs are threaten to be delayed this year. The fund's program which is financed by social aid and grant  are advised to be disbursed after the election to avoid the misused budget for political purposes.

This delay of the fund disbursement will impact on LMK programs, which have been proposed in Musrebang last year, in each urban village. “We are a little disappointed since we have submitted some proposals and work plans in Musrenbang last year,” said Musanif Ahmad, Palmerah LMK member, Wednesday (5/21).

Palmerah Urban Village is still one of area prone to flood and it is a dense settlement in the capital city. To fix some public facilities such as waterway and resident settlement roads, Palmerah still needs social aid fund. “The social aid fund is needed for some programs, one of them is public facility repair,” said Ahmad.

Meanwhile, Head of West Jakarta Community Empowerment, Women’s Empowerment and Family Planning Sub-Department (PMPKB), Muchtar, asked the LMK members to be patient due to the delay of social aid fund for LMK since this policy is in Jakarta Provincial Government authority that meets Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) appeal.

“We are still waiting the City Government policy related to this matter. Therefore, we also ask LMK members to be patient,” Muchtar completed.
