Public Cemetery in Jakarta Must Be Arranged

Chairman of City Council, Prasetio Edi Marsudi revealed that the public cemeteries (TPU) that spread in the capital to be managed and arranged properly. Thus they could be seen beautiful and comfortable when people visit.

"About fictitious tomb matters, it must not happen again in future," said Prasetio, on the sidelines of a joint meeting with Jakarta Park and Cemetery Dept and City Council Commission D, Wednesday (11/9).

He went on the say that there must be artistic to organize the cemetery thus it no longer looks creepy.

"Lighting at night must also be better to create comfortable impression," he expressed.

He also wanted some supporting facilities of the cemetery to be improved, such as toilet and stall belongs to flower seller.

Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Park and Cemetery Dept, Djafar Mukhlisin explained his dept has cemetery pilot program next year. The tomb pilot in question, in the graveyard provided various supporting facilities such as toilet, jogging track, pond and parking lot.

"As a result, the tomb will be seen as a park," he finished.
