South Jakarta Administration spreads 20,000 seeds of parrot fish in the Lake Public Works Complex, Jl Sapta Taruna Jaya, Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama, Friday (11/11).

Mayor of South Jakarta, Tri Kurniadi disclosed, it is aimed to encourage people contribute in keeping environmental preservation. He added, local residents may fish for consumption.

"It can be used for family consumption and a source of protein that is easily obtainable. But don't fishing entirely at a time," he disclosed, Friday (11/11).

Meanwhile, Head of South Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Sub-dept, Kristrisasi Helenandari added, parrot fish is spread to increase the availability of fish as a protein source in public waters.

"Three months from now, fish is hoped can consumed and ready to be fished. Certainly, its meat is very tasty," he finished.
