City Is Ready to Ancitipate Disaster

Jakarta Provincial Government is focused on the anticipation of the flood and fallen tree. Three regional working units (SKPD) were also given special duty.

Jakarta Acting Governor, Sumarsono disclosed there are three points that become attention. First, Jakarta Park and Cemetery Dept must be active sweeping trees that prone to fall.

Second, Jakarta Water Management Dept must control sluice gate and water channel. And third, Jakarta Cleanliness Dept must intensively monitor garbage volume in the field. Because one of the causes of flooding is garbage.

"I think our preparation is much better than last year. And we have about 30,000 personnel of blue, yellow, green and orange," he stated, at City Hall, Monday (11/14).

Further, he also urged local people to still alert about flooding disaster that can occur anytime, because the current rainfall is high. And its peak is predicted to hit January and February.

"And we also need the role of residents to maintain the surrounding cleanliness," he finished.
