Puddles in Three Urban Villages Gradually Receding

Puddles that inundated citizens houses of Rawa Buaya, Kembangan Utara and Kedaung Kali Angke urban villages began receding gradually. Currently, its water level leaves 10 centimeters. 

The different is water can recede quickly about one day compared to before, which was two until three days

Initially, heavy rain on Sunday (11/13), triggering puddles up to 80 centimeters high and inundated hundreds of houses.

Catur (37), a citizen of RW 04 stated, water entered into settlement on Sunday (11/13), at around 11 PM. Gradually, water at Mookevart River began rising up to 80 centimeters high.

BPBD Must Update About Receding Puddle

"Our region is indeed prone to flooding when heavy rain takes a long time. The different is water can recede quickly about one day compared to before, which was two until three days," he expressed, Monday (11/14). 

According to him, the residual puddle is more due to overflowing waters of Mookevart River. After water volume has returned to normal, it would totally recede.

Head of West Jakarta Disaster Mitigation, Firmanudin expressed, regions that inundated in Rawa Buaya Urban Village are located in RW 01, 02 comprising RT 06, 08, 09 and 12 (10-70 centimeters), RW 04 comprising RT 05, 12, 13, 14 and 16 (10-80 centimeters).

While puddles that has been soaking Kedaung Kali Angke Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-district, occurred in RT 01 and 02, RW 08 (20 centimeters). In Kembangan Utara Urban Village, water inundated RT 07, RW 01 (10-50 centimeters), RT 07/RW 03 (10–20 centimeters), RT 16/RW 05 (10 centimeters) and RT 09/RW 10 (20 centimeters).

“Nevertheless, citizens prefer to stay at home,” he finished.
