System of water management in Manggarai Sluice Gate to the Java sea is conducted gradually. It is aimed to reduce flood from Ciliwung River and West Flood Canal (KBB).

Head of River and Central Flow Beach System Division, Jakarta Water Management Dept, Robert Rajaguguk said, water flow from Manggarai is divided into three rivers, namely KBB, Gresik River and Ciliwung River towards Gunung Sahari.
