Jakarta Education Dept Deputy Head, Bowo Irianto explained, the problem about electricity arrears by 26 schools in the capital is due to fund of Education Operational Aid (BOP) that cannot be disbursed.

It is because of an error in inputting the 2016 APBD. Thus the budget for paying electricity at each school is late to be included in the APBD Amendment.

"This is because of inputting errors. That's why we cannot pay the PLN, even up to 10 months," he stated, Tuesday (11/22).

At this time, his party has received the Fund Disbursement Letter (SPD) for the electricity payment from Jakarta BPKAD. In the near future, it is certain budget can already be used to pay electricity arrears.

"Yesterday, we received the letter, that signed by Education Dept," he stated.

As issued before, the 26 schools in the capital are still in arrears of electricity worth Rp 3 billion. Most of the electricity had been cut off thus the school students had to learn outside the classroom. In fact, there are also schools that use a candle as lighting.
