Billboards at Four Crossing Bridges Torn Down

A number of billboards that spread at crossing bridges in South Jakarta were demolished last night, Wednesday (11/23). This time, the operation was focused on some bridges at Jalan HR Rasuna Said, Setiabudi. They are Kuningan Madya AINI, Wisma Setiabudi, Kedubes Malaysia and Karet Kuningan bridges.

Based on Beritajakarta.com observations, the operation has involved hundreds of personnel of South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept, Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept, Spatial Planning Sub-dept and Satpol PP assisted by PPSU that spread at four points of billboard.

Head of South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept, Christianto disclosed, besides expired permit, the billboard in such bridges are torn down because it is not in accordance with the technical requirements installation of billboards thus it is dangerous

"There are still leaving two billboards, such as Senayan and Pasar Kebayoran Lama bridges. As planned, Friday (11/25), we will tear down them," he stated, Thursday (11/24).

Head of Rescue Team for South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept, Dwi Prayitno explains, billboard size at four points of bridge that controlled is varied, between 1.2x10 meters-1.2x20 meters.
