Billboards on Two Crossing Bridges in S. Jakarta Controlled

Due to expired licensing, a few billboards at two points of crossing bridges (JPO) that located at Jl Lapangan Ross and Jl Casablanca in front of SDN 01, Tebet Sub-district were controlled by the ranks of South Jakarta Administration, Wednesday (10/26) night.

"We control them (billboards) to prevent unwanted things like last incident in Pasar Minggu. Crossing bridge must sterile from billboard, thus we have to do controlling every Wednesday and Friday," said Head of South Jakarta Transportation Sub-dept, Christianto, Thursday (10/27). 

C. Jakarta to Control Billboards on Seven Crossing Bridges

Based on Beritajakarta.com's data, before being controlled, the South Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept had told that there is no electric installed on such billboards.

While Head of South Jakarta Industry and Energy Sub-dept, Suryanto disclosed, billboard type neon box on the bridge is flowed with PLN electricity.

"We also make sure the electricity network that is used in the bridge was safe, that means there is flaking or short circuit thus making it safe to conduct controlling. Third, we ensure the sufficient illumination to assist the work," he explained.

Further, tens of officers of South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept immediately controlled billboards on the bridge.

"Afterwards, we bring them using truck," stated Prawito, Head of Setiabudi Sector for South Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-dept.
