Electricity Outage at School Should Not Happen Again in Future

Jakarta Acting Governor, Sumarsono revealed that case of a power outage in some schools in the capital should not happen again in the future. Considering, it is very influential on the teaching and learning activities (KBM).

"Power outage at school shall not happen again next year," he disclosed, when he led an executive meeting (rapim) at City Hall, Monday (11/28).

Electricity in Six Schools Already Turned On

He instructed regional working unit (SKPD) to send a letter first to the PLN if there is delay in payment of electricity.

"So, PLN won't also do power outage," he expressed.

He also apologized to the student parents over the case. The case is due to administrative error thus electricity payment to the PT PLN went delay.

"We immediately make agreement with PLN to anticipate the same case in future. Bank DKI was also agreeing for bail," he expressed.

Meanwhile, Head of Jakarta Education Dept, Sopan Andriyanto delivered, his party has paid off arrears of electricity to PT PLN on November 24, 2016.

"Not until 1.5 days we have paid off," he finished.

Sopan also admitted had sent circular letter to PT PLN previously if there will be a delay in payment of electricity. The letter is accompanied by the ID number of each school electricity bills.
