Jakarta Regional Archieve and Library Agency (BPAD) held an event titled The Role of Libraries Improve Reading Culture and Literacy In Deepen Brotherhood and Diversity in Regional Public Library, Jalan Cikini Raya, Central Jakarta.

Based on Beritajakarta.com, the event was participated by tens of caretakers of library and RPTRA, college students and school students.

"This is good event and also be a learning experience. Reading should be introduced since primary school," said Bambang Sugiyono, assistant to the city secretary for administration affairs, Wednesday (11/30).

Jakarta BPAD Head, Tini Budiati explained the event aims to improve the role of library in development of reading culture.

"This is our effort to encourage interest in reading," she finished.
