West Jakarta Sub-dept. of Administration proposes additional fuel budget for 292 fleets operational in 2017.
Some of the trucks only bring two liter after disposing the waste and back to the base
Edy Mulyanto, agency’s head, admitted only 274 out of 292 fleets are operated. The remaining 18 fleets are in broken condition.
Based on the regulation of truck operational, each big truck gets 35 liter diesel fuel per day and 30 liter per day for smaller one.
City Provides Waste Truck Management SystemIn fact, the distribution is far from adequate since the area of West Jakarta to Bantar Gebang Dump Site is too far. East and North Jakarta are shorter to Bantar Gebang but have same fuel distribution.
“The diesel fuel stock is too low. Some of the trucks only bring two liter after disposing the waste and back to the base,” he said, Thursday (12/8).
The proposal will add 5 liter each for the trucks. “The truck will spend more fuel in traffic jam and during queuing at Bantar Gebang,” he closed.
