Kejari Targeting East Jakarta Agriculture and Forestation Department Head

After two people from contractor and consultant supervisor defined as suspects’ corruption case of Ujung Menteng City forest construction, Cakung, East Jakarta, the East Jakarta State Attorney (Kejari) is targeting new suspect from East Jakarta Agriculture and Forestation Department.

East Jakarta State Attorney Head, Joni Manurung said, Agustinus Bambang Wisageni East Jakarta Agriculture and Forestation Sub-Department Head perhaps added as a new suspect on Monday (5/26). “Previously, we have defined two people as suspects, but they do not arrested yet. Because the project loss calculation is still audited. All suspects will be arrested after that effort,” Joni Manurung said, Monday (5/25).

But from this project, the State allegedly lost Rp 2.3 billion due to cheating of construction. The cheating are fences construction, water channel, jogging track area, gazebo, mosque, toilet and many types of plantations procurement.
East Jakarta City Administration Mayor, HR Krisdianto refuses to give lot of comment about the case when confirmed. He is reasoning that East Jakarta State Attorney authorities already handled the case. He also allows Kejari to explore this case with prioritizing presumption of innocence.
"I can not give lot comment of this case, just let it flows because East Jakarta Kejari has already handling the case,” he expressed
Forestation Head Section of East Jakarta Agriculture and Forestation Sub-Department, Wahyu said that he did not know of alleged corruption on Ujung Menteng City Forest construction project. He just recently knows, after East Jakarta Kejari conducting examination to him.
“All this time I only received supervision report. About some inappropriate specification, I didn’t know. I am not a civil engineer,” he said.
Wahyu asserted, the project conducted in six months and through customer mechanism. This project already hand over from the contractor to East Jakarta Agriculture and Forestation Sub-Department Head, Agustinus Bambang Wisanggeni.
