June 1, Jabodetabek KRL's Itinerary Added

Starting from June 1, 2014, PT KAI Commuter Jabodetabek (KCJ) adds electric train (KRL) itinerary from the original of 598  trips per day into 654 trips.

KRL will be added around 56 loops, so the total is 645 train trips

Operational Director of PT KAI Commuter Jakarta (KCJ), Apriono Cresnanto, said that trip addition can shorten the headway or waiting time of the commuter line. "KRL will be added around 56 loops, so the total is 645 train trips," said Cresnanto, Monday (5/26).

Cresnanto added that the increasing number of the trip is intended to serve the route from Jakarta, Bogor, Tangerang, and Bekasi. Most allocation travel is for Bogor-Depok route with 33 train per day serving 294 travels," he added.

City Handed Bus Procurement to PT Transjakarta

Bekasi route served by 9-train-carriages for 117 journeys, as for Serpong route served by 8-train-carriages for 104 trips, and Tangerang route served by 3-train-carriages for 62 trips every day.

"PT KCJ also runs 3-train-carriages for non-commercial or feeder that serves 68 trips per day. This feeder carriages serve Manggarai-Sudirman-Karet-Tanah Abang-Duri-Kampung Bandan-Kota route," explained Cresnanto.

The increasing number of trips is followed by a change in Jabodetabek KRL schedule. Later on, the Commuter Line will begin to operate at 04.00 AM until 23.30 PM in June 1, 2014.

"There will be train trip for every 5-6 minutes from Bogor, Bekasi 10-15 minutes, and Serpong just as Bekasi," Cresnanto completed.
