Central Government Should Assist East - West Route MRT Construction, Basuki Says

Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki T Purnama said that this railway-based transportation construction is impossible to be completed if it was not supported by central government and related parties. Moreover, the MRT construction of east - west route will intersect with West Java and Banten Provinces.
“Currently, MRT is constructing from south to north. The east to west route has not been started yet, and we have asked to analyze the plan. But West Java and Banten are mind about it. So it is impossible to build it without central government help,” said Basuki at the City Hall, Thursday (4/24).
