Burnt Transjakarta Bus at BNN Shelter, Here is The Explanation

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) has completed the identification of Ankai bus which was burnt near BNN shelter, Cawang, East Jakarta.

The burnt bus was indicated caused by imperfect wiring. There was a connection caused short circuit electricity

Based on the identification result, the burnt bus was caused by wiring problem on the dashboard.

PT Transjakarta Director, Budi Kaliwono, admitted his side involved several experts during the identification. Those are Indonesia Infrastructure Initiative (INDII), Ankai, and several sole agents.

“The burnt bus was indicated caused by imperfect wiring. There was a connection caused short circuit electricity,” he said, Wednesday (12/14).

Budi added that the bus also has a heating room. In fact, the feature is not common for buses in Indonesia.

“There must be a deep review for Ankai buses,” he added.

His side directly recalled the Ankai buses, 30 articulated and 36 single buses. According to him, the case is only found in articulated buses, not for single buses.

Inspection for Zhong Tong and Yu Tong found no similar case.
