PT Transjakarta Prepares Bus Security System

PT Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) is about to make a specific standard for bus that was booked. Eventually, all buses will be equipped with an emergency button. It is to enhance the bus security system.

PT Transjakarta Director, Budi Kaliwono disclosed that his side is preparing the bus security system. One of them is about cabling and power breaker system.

"We'll open wiring system standard that integrated with machine, body and AC. It is still being created by involving some manufacturers and body of a car," he expressed, at City Hall, Wednesday (12/14).

He added, every bus should have emergency button for the power breaker. If something happens, it can be minimized. It will be placed in a place that is easily accessible by bus crews, either driver or officer.

"We design some control systems. While the button will be placed in the cabin, engine room, and battery power source to disconnect power," he continued.

It is created, because the bus was booked from various brands and body of a car. Thus, its location in all buses is the same. "If it is not set a standard, the body of a car will be able to improvise," he said.

This standard would also be proposed by Transportation Ministry. Hopefully, in future, similar system will also set for other buses.
