City Gears Up to Build Fishery Center in Cilincing

Jakarta Provincial Government will build a fishery center in Cilincing Sub-district, North Jakarta. Currently, Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept is still finding the right location for fishermen in Kalibaru, Cilincing and Marunda areas. 

Until now, we're still finding the right location. Ideally, we need the land as wide as 1-2 hectares

Head of Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Dept, Darjamuni disclosed, the fishery center concept will be the same with fishery center in Muara Angke. Besides dock for fishing vessels, it is also equipped with auction place, cold storage, fish processing and sales location.

"Until now, we're still finding the right location. Ideally, we need the land as wide as 1-2 hectares," he expressed, Monday (12/19).

Besides in Cilincing, his side is preparing the same plan in Kamal Muara. But its process is still constrained by the flat for fishing settlement.

"In Cilincing, there is no the flat. But in Kamal Muara, we propose a location behind the fish auction place," he finished.
