To enliven New Year's Eve celebration, the city government is slated to set up five entertainment stages along Jl Jendral Sudirman and MH Thamrin to break up the mass concentration.

The upcoming New Year's Eve will be colored with five entertainment stages from Sudirman until Thamrin. Thus the mass is not concentrated in Ancol but also other places

Jakarta Acting Governor, Sumarsono disclosed deliberately expand entertainment stage for Jakartans. Thus residents can enjoy the event everywhere.

"The upcoming New Year's Eve will be colored with five entertainment stages from Sudirman until Thamrin. Thus the mass is not concentrated in Ancol but also other places," he disclosed, at City Hall, Wednesday (12/21).

Those five stages will be set up at Monas Futsal Field, Monas Thamrin Gate, Jalan Imam Bonjol next to Mandarin Hotel, Bendungan Hilir and FX Senayan. It is realized over cooperation with BUMD.

The man who popularly known as Soni, every mayor was also instructed to set up entertainment stage in each office. But they could also use other places such as at Setu Babakan, Jagakarsa in South Jakarta 

"Even in East Jakarta, each sub-district will also do the same. This is for residents," he stated.

On the other hand, he along with Jakarta Forkopimda will celebrate the event in Ancol. He appealed residents not to use fireworks redundantly on New Year's Eve.
