1,000 Police Ready to Secure Christmas and New Year

As many as 1,000 personnel of East Jakarta Metro Resort Police are ready to secure the celebration of Christmas and New Year. As planned, it will be done on Friday (12/23).

Chief of East Jakarta Metro Resort Police, Sr. Comr. Mohammad Agung Budijono disclosed, security during Christmas and New Year is routinely conducted every year. As usual, the personnel will be spread in all churches, stations, terminals, TMII and other crowded places.

"We have prepared on the whole, starting from Tabligh Akbar, the Prophet Muhammad's Birthday, Christmas, New Year and so on," he said.

No Car Free Day for Christmas and New Year Holidays

The security level is still the same like previous year. The joint ceremony and sweeping will be conducted along with related unit. Besides police, it will involve army, Satpol PP, mass organization, public figure, religious figure and other related units.

Regarding terrorism terror, it must be wary. Even the threat of it has already happened in other areas. However, the Densus 88 team has also been quick to act to overcome it. Nevertheless, all must remain vigilant.
