Illegal Jamu Warehouse at Jatinegara Market Raided

An herbal medicine warehouse (jamu) that located at Jatinegara Market was raided by Jakarta Drug and Food Monitoring Agency (BPOM) and East Jakarta Resort Police.

At that time, the officer found and confiscated thousands of bundles of jamu with different brands and types from the warehouse owned by Hrn (52).

Jakarta BPOM Head, Dewi Prawitasari disclosed that the jamu warehouse is raided due to illegal. The owner sells illegal product which has no permit and contain hazardous chemicals.

"We've been monitoring the warehouse since a long time ago. When we wanted to do the raid, the owner always closes the building. But, today, we did it and found lots of illegal products inside," she told, at the location, Saturday (12/23).

While, Jatinegara Market Manager, Fauzan admitted has not known the matter. "I don't know, because I was in Pulogebang. We will coordinate first later," he closed.
