Floating SPBU in Seribu islands Applies Card System

The floating Gas Station (SPBU) that planned since last October will be realized in January 2017. The gas station will only sell solar fuel for the fishermen via card system.

"The floating SPBU service will apply card system thus solar can only be bought by the fishermen or boat owners below 25 Gross Tonnage (GT) who have the card," said Herman E Dani, Assistant of Seribu Islands Economic and Development, Monday (12/26). 

Dani uttered, it is only exist around Karya Island, Panggang Island Urban Village, North Seribu Islands using anchoring system on the west side nearby the tomb. Despite the west wind will shift on the east side near the tower, it can still serve.

Floating SPBU Will Be Developed on Karya Island

"We choose Karya Island, because it is to anticipate land wind thus it can still serve the people," he stated.

The SPBU owner will impose a price according to the price in the land and ensure the availability of fuel, through tanker ship.
