Jakarta Dept. of Transportation will ask for mentoring to The Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) for electronic road pricing (ERP) auction. That is why the auction registration is extended up to January 15.
KPPU gives positive respond for our plan
Agency’s head, Andri Yansyah, said his side has sent letter to KPPU related to the plan.
“KPPU gives positive respond for our plan,” he said, Tuesday (12/27).
ERP Traffic System must Be Applied in JakartaPreviously, KPPU has asked to review the Governor Regulation No. 149/2016 about ERP Traffic Handling Management.
The regulation mentions that ERP uses Dedicated Short Range Communication (DSRC) with 5.8 GHz frequency. In fact, the technology is not used by several countries anymore.
Andi ensures will not revoke the existing regulation. His side will cooperate with KPPU related with that problem. It is because the technology is already used by many countries.
“Technology is depend on the user. There is no technology monopoly. In this world, only DSRC is used for non toll ERP,” he closed.
