Residents of RW 04 and 05 Cipinang Cempedak, Jatinegara, East Jakarta complained of Ciliwung River Waterway Project Construction to East Flood Channel (KBT) on Jalan Otista III. Anita (31), a resident of RT 01 RW 04 said, during the project, residents’ groundwater becomes muddy and cannot be consumed. As an effect, residents have to buy clean water from water peddler.

Residents are complained because PT Wika as the contractor did not act transparency to conduct socialization. Start from construction time, technical, and effect. Because, the project was informed to be finished at 7 PM. But in fact the construction is sill continued until 10 PM. Besides that, Jalan Otista III which was closed only for a line, now two lanes are closed. It is deeply troubled resident’s activities.
PT Wika secretary, Natal Argawan admitted that he did not know about residents protest related this project. But he promised will deliver residents complain to manager construction who directly handle the project.
“We will deliver residents complain to team project who directly handle it. Because I did not know about the problem on the field,” he said.
