The Ragunan Zoo, Pasar Minggu, South Jakarta, were flocking by hundred thousands of visitor on Sunday (1/1).

Up to 1 PM, as many as 101,055 people have arrived to the location by using 3,563 cars, 10,841 motorcycles, and 84 buses.
Vehicles were lining up to enter the area. This condition has caused traffic jam on its surrounding areas.

South Jakarta Head Sub-dept. of Transportation, Christianto, admitted his side applied traffic engineering to avoid worse traffic jam.
“Vehicles from Mampang Prapatan are diverted to Tanjung Barat and take turn under flyover into the zoo,” he said.
According to him, tens of personnel were also spread to traffic jam spots in Pondok Labu, Tanjung Barat, Simatupang toll exit gate, Pasar Minggu, and Ragunan.
“Personnel are diverted into two shifts up to 8 PM. One towing car is prepared to tow broke down cars,” he closed.
