Monas Still Crowded By Visitors

Along the New Year holidays until now, the Monument National (Monas) is still a favorite recreational site for people. It can be seen from the long queue by people who want to enter into Monas.

New Year's Eve, it is predicted 350,000 people enjoy the monument and 185,000 people on January 1 until evening

Monas Management Head, Sabdo Kurnianto stated, on January 1 until evening, it is called as the second day of New Year. It is proven from the visit to the monument which is not much different with New Year's Eve.

"New Year's Eve, it is predicted 350,000 people enjoy the monument and 185,000 people on January 1 until evening," he stated, Monday (1/2).

New Year’s Eve Waste Transported

His side also has added four ticket counters in order to anticipate long queue. Because the number of the visitors until evening has reached 185,000 people.

"Which is why we add more counters. They already used Bank DKI edc machine," he told.

According to him, it will cause garbage heaps in the monument. Even, on New Year's Eve, his side collected 3.5 tons and 2 tons on January until evening.

"People aware about cleanliness is still low, whereas we have warned them. And now the condition is already conducive," he finished.
