Acting Jakarta Governor, Sumarsono said the National Transportation Safety Commission (KNKT) prepares two teams to investigate Zahro Express incident.

First focus is for field investigation, and second focus is victims handling at hospitals

First team will investigate the incident cause, and second team will identify 20 dead bodies at Polri Hospital, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta.

“First focus is for field investigation, and second focus is victims handling at hospitals,” he said, Monday (1/2).

Technical team of KNKT will investigate the ticketing system, boat departure, up to finding drowned victims.

Based on reported manifest, there were 100 passengers on the boat. The boat capacity was 285 people.

“It’s not violate the capacity. But the case will be handled by KNKT,” he closed.
