W. Jakarta Team to Monitor Waste Pollution in Rivers

A team serving under West Jakarta Administration will be sent to monitor waste pollution at some points of river and drain.
We will send a team to monitor and record the river and the drain, as well as take water sample which is prone to waste pollution
West Jakarta Environment Sub-dept Head, Edy Mulyanto disclosed that team which will be active next week consists of Environment Executor Unit Head in each sub-district, environment expert and Water Agency's Activity Management Unit (UPK).
"We will send a team to monitor and record the river and the drain, as well as take water sample which is prone to waste pollution," he expressed, Tuesday (1/10).
Mayors are Asked Investigate Waste Pollution at CiliwungLocations, which will be monitored, are Sukabumi Selatan and Tambora, which filled by buildings used as laundry and screen-printing business.
Further, the sample would be examined in the lab whether it happens water pollution or not.
"If the result is positive, we will take action. About sanction, will be coordinated with Jakarta Environment Dept," he disclosed.
