Aneka Elok River will Be Normalized Soon

This is very urgent. If the water flow is fixed, inundation in RW 06 can be anticipated

The Aneka Elok river located in Penggilingan, Cakung will be normalized in the near future. Normalization is done to fix water flow from one to another river.

East Jakarta Economic and Development Assistant, Sofyan Thaher disclosed, the Aneka Elok river that has 1,500 meters long is functioning to support water flow from micro channel in the settlement, RW 05, 06 and 11 towards Aneka Elok Reservoir.

Connecting Channel on Jalan Ori Normalized

"This is very urgent. If the water flow is fixed, inundation in RW 06 can be anticipated," he stated, Monday (1/16).

He explains there are two parts of the river cut off in such region. Even, there are also detected five buildings on two lands that have 200 square meters wide.

"Based on locals' information, in 2000, we had controlled some buildings. And now only leave five buildings. We'll discuss it at city level," he expressed.

In the meantime, East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept Head, A Yazied Bustomi disclosed if the land was acquired, normalization and widening would be conducted up to six meters.

"Then for deepening, will be done up to three meters," he disclosed.
